Sydney Wedding at View By Sydney
Updated: Mar 25
The best part of being in the wedding industry is traveling to amazing locations to film or shoot 2 people on their most special day. May 24, 2019 was no exception, off to Sydney from brisbane for a few days to film Karina and Mitch's wedding day.
Starting off at Meriton Suites in Chatswood the lovely couple were getting ready in 2 different apartments. A different approach for this wedding, the bride wanted us to focus on the guys getting ready rather than the girls and we got some great candid shots of the boys as they got dressed into their black tie and suit.
From their we went to the girls and caught Karina as she made her entrance looking picture perfect in her beautiful full length gown and stunning hair and makeup. Only time to capture a few shot before we headed to the ceremony venue.
The Mosman Art Gallery, Grand Hall room which was originally a Methodist Church was the scene for Karina and Mitch's nuptials. A beautiful room with great acoustics and ambient light that sets the mood for the emotional ceremony which had plenty of tears and laughter. Each of the vows from Mitch and Karina had the guests cheering with a round of applause upon conclusion.
Once the formalities were over it was time to announce the happy couple as husband and wife and off down the aisle for the first time they went.
Being late May dusk was upon us rather quick so there was limited time to quickly get some bridal party shots in a park near The Rocks in Sydney city then it was off to the reception at View By Sydney, right below the harbour bridge and across from Luna Park, a stunning backdrop and also the very night Vivid Sydney festival kicked off!
A very laid back approach to the reception with no formal seating a part from the bridal table. The room was beautifully decked out with lounges and table seating.
With the usual speeches, cake cutting and first dance completed rather early it was time to party on for the guests and the newlyweds.
