Wedding Video at Old Government House Brisbane
Updated: Aug 22, 2021
On a beautiful Brisbane Winter's day, Amanda and David tied the knot at the majestic Old Government House at the QUT grounds in Brisbane's CBD, followed by the urbanesque reception at Factory 51, Coorparoo.
I had the privilege of being the official videographer for the day. Starting off at bridal and groom preps at Wellington Point the couple were nice and relaxed and very much excited to finally become husband and wife.
After a couple of hours of makeup, getting dressed, having a few laughs, it was then time for the couple to head to the city to make it all official. Amanda arrived in a vintage car and certainly attracted many onlookers with her grand entrance.
An emotional David caught his first glance at his beautiful bride being escorted by both her parents in the courtyard of the Old Government House. Wiping away the tears, David happily took the hands of his wife to be from her parents and each couple made their lifelong commitment to each other with vows and exchanging of rings.
With all the formalities complete the couple sealed their marriage with a kiss and joyful embrace. It was now time to greet and be congratulated by family and friends.
Following the ceremony it was time for the photographer and I to whisk away the newly weds for a photoshoot around the grounds of Old Government House. With such historic decor, it wasn't a hard job to get amazing footage of the glamorous couple in such picturesque scenes.
As twilight approached it was then time to head over to Coorparoo to the relatively new Factory 51 for the official reception party. The vintage theme of the day was matched by the decor in the reception room.
The couple were introduced and welcomed with cheering and a standing ovation by the excited crowd.
After dinner it was time to commence the formailites with speeches, the highlight being an emotional response from the groom to his new wife, which had all wiping away the tears. Then it was time to cut the cake a let the party begin with Amanda and David leading the way with their first dance as a couple.
Then a surprise performance for the father and daughter dance with an amazing choreographed routine that had all the guests cheering and enjoying this unexpected addition to the evening.
From there it was party time and time for us to go and leave the guests to enjoy this amazing day which will long be remembered as one of Boutique Wedding Films most gracious couples.
Congratulations Amanda and David!
